aka Ava Chante de l'Esprit

Ava Scofield is a singer and composer who has performed professionally since the age of twelve. She has appeared in numerous stage productions and choral groups in both leading and supporting roles. Her many solo performances and her music have been featured on stage, television and on the radio. She has participated in vocal workshops with Bobby McFerrin, Carl Anderson and Giorgio Tozzi. Ava took part in a cello master class with recently deceased famed cellist Gordon Epperson. She also played a leading role as the daughter of the also now-deceased distinguished Metropolitan opera singer Jerome Hines in Boris Gudunov. She is a prolific composer as well as a skilled cellist and guitarist. As a solo artist and in conjunction with others Ava continues to explore the many and varied facets of music and to grow as a musician and composer. Her ecclectic and abundant first album, Vision on the Rise, is a testimont to some of the many nuances that are Ava. She just released a new CD of all original music "for children, and adults who still know how to have fun," called "Elephants In My Ears." And she is currently working on a second children's album to be released next year. Both CDs feature John R Burr, Mark Holzinger, Bili Turner, Bill Lanphier, Ruth Davies, Tom Politzer, Jeremy Cohen, Michaelle Goerlitz, Nika Rejto, Tom Miller, a very talented group of children and more!
